In a speech at the PPIM Hi-Tea with the Media on Thursday, 31 March 2022, the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association (PPIM) Chief Activist, Nadzim Johan@toqqi urged the Prime Minister on several things that can be summarized as follows:
First, Nadzim asked Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri to sack Health Minister YB Khairy Jamaluddin immediately following a statement from the Rembau MP who promised to make life difficult for the people who chose to reject the Covid-19 vaccine.
Khairy reportedly said, “Our approach is, sorry to say, we will make your life difficult because you are not vaccinated because you choose to refuse to be vaccinated.” on 16 October 2021 after the launch of the 11th National Acute Myocardial Infarcation Course (NAMIC) 2021 in Kuala Lumpur.
Furthermore, the MySejahtera application which is increasingly confusing for the people is also one of the main proofs of Khairy’s failure as the Health Minister and the minister responsible for the country’s vaccination program before he was appointed Health Minister.
According to Nadzim, the MySejahtera application scandal also added to the people’s annoyance and anger because they felt persecuted when the ministry nor the government gave any explanation as to why the acquisition of the application by a new company from KPISoft Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a local company that developed it to another company was not announced to the people. It was only revealed after it was questioned by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
“Prior to his appointment as Health Minister, Khairy had failed to carry out his responsibilities as the coordinating minister of the National Covid-19 Immunization Program (PICK),” he said.
Nadzim, who is also a member of the Malaysian Anti -Corruption Commission’s (MACC) Anti -Corruption Advisory Board, said that if the people are continuously oppressed, they might take actions in their own hands and would act against the current government.
“In any country, if its people are oppressed, they will rise up and defend their rights, and it is not impossible for that to happen in this country,” he said.
At the same event, Nadzim also told the media that he personally and PPIM along with more than 1.2 million of its members had given a note to the Prime Minister stating their commitment to protest against any members of Parliament (MP) and politicians who continue to support PICK which has proven to be the cause of the Adverse Adverse Effect. Immunization (AEFI) and death among Malaysians.
Nadzim called on Malaysians to unite and express their protest in solidarity with the 2.5 million Malaysians whose vaccination records will be erased for refusing to comply with Khairy’s absurd request for them to get more vaccines.
“These people have been vaccinated, it is not that they have rejected the vaccine completely but even though they have complied and received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, Khairy still insists and forces them to continue to be given more vaccine which has not been proven to help prevent Covid-19 and even worst, the Covid-19 vaccine has been proven to cause many deaths in Malaysia,” he said.
Nadzim gave an example of the actions taken by truck drivers in Canada and Australia who were adamant with their stand.
“We do not want the people to take to the streets to protest, it is enough for us to stay at home and not go out anywhere, show the government the people are the heart of the country, without the people, the government will not be able to do anything so do not let the government treat us arbitrarily. The rakyat are not lab rats for the government,” he said.
Nadzim said if all Malaysians remained at home in solidarity, all public transport would cease, there would be no delivery of goods, no security guards, no business premises to operate.
“Is that what the government wants to see for them to understand how much the people are suffering because of an action by one individual who is too focused on international recognition, he is willing to jeopardize the health and well-being of the people of his own country. All Khairy’s wrongdoings and persecution against the people must be stopped immediately,” he said.
