Strict lockdown is going on in Malaysia. Monir bin Amjad, president of the Bangladesh Press Club of Malaysia and a prominent businessman, provided food aid and cash to the people sitting at home in the lockdown.
For the past two weeks, Bangladeshis, Malaysians and Myanmar nationals have been sitting at home in the midst of severe lockdowns in various parts of Malaysia. So far about 4,500 packets of food aid have been provided. Food aid includes rice, potatoes, pulses, onions and oil. 300 ringgit has been given to about 100 families in cash.
YV Prabhakaran, MP of Sentul area was present during the assistance. MP PA Lechtari, village head Che Mat, deputy village head Rajali, PPIM member Fazal, Malaysian community leader Pandu and members of several NGOs. In addition, food aid has been provided to helpless Malaysians living in the city of Keda. Cash has also been given.
