Meanwhile the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association (PPIM)
claimed the SPM Maths and Additional Maths paper were leaked.

KUALA LUMPUR:  The
Malaysian Examination Board said the format of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
2013 examination papers for Moral Education subject was not changed.

In a statement yesterday, the board said the format of
examination papers for the subject was still the same, where the questions were
divided into Section A and Section B.

In Section A, candidates are required to answer eight
structural questions, while in Section B, only two of the questions.

The total mark for all the questions is 100, the statement
said.

The board was refuting an online report earlier this week
which claimed SPM Moral paper format had been changed.

Last Wednesday several SPM students vented their frustrations
on Facebook after sitting for the paper.

They said they were not informed of changes to the format.

According to NUTP, teachers too were not made aware of this.

When contacted earlier an official of the Malaysian
Examination Board dismissed the claim saying they merely rephrased some
questions under the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Sytem,w hich was
announced under the National Education Blueprint two months ago.

Papers leaked

On a related matter the Malaysian Muslim Consumers
Association (PPIM) said they have received reports from three individuals
claiming that the SPM questions for Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
subjects were leaked.

The three individuals – Mohd Husaini Jaslee, Nor Izwan Abu
Bakar and Mohd Rizuan Abd Rashid – also distributed copies of the alleged
leaked questions to reporters attending their press conference at the PPIM
headquarters here yesterday.

Also present was PPIM training director Dr Izham Nayan.

Mohd Husaini said he was informed about the matter by
students at a school in Wangsa Maju on Nov 18.

“They said the questions were distributed during an SPM
seminar at the Mua’adz Bin Jabal Mosque in Setiawangsa on Nov 17,” he said.

Mohd Husaini said he had also lodged similar report at the
Malaysian Examination Board and Wangsa Maju police station on Thursday.

“I really hope that a detailed investigation into the case
will be carried out,” he said.
